Tambour cabinet in pear

This cabinet was an exploration of the vertical tambour door often seen in mid-century European office furniture - here reimagined in a smaller package with an understated asymmetrical design.

In addition to the tambour door the cabinet features a piston-fit drawer with hand cut dovetails and a hinged door to a larger storage compartment.

Meassuring 600 x 450 x 220 mm, the cabinet makes a beautiful and functional showpiece that easily fits into most interiors.

Pear wood was chosen for its beautiful reddish color and curly grain.
