Cabinet for art supplies

A functional reinterpretation of the classical Scandinavian architect's cabinet. Aesthetically, the design is heavily inspired by James Krenov's classic cabinet on stand, Britta's cabinet.

Like Krenov, Silas designed and build this cabinet for his partner, Molly. Made to house art supplies, it is dimensioned for A3 sketchbooks. 

Being made from oak, ash, two types of elm, and wenge, the cabinet is a celebration of ring porous woods.
